My Culinary Journey
My passion for cooking began in my grandmother’s Ohio kitchen, where I learned that great food isn’t about fancy techniques it’s about understanding ingredients and cooking with confidence.
Over three decades, I’ve had the privilege of cooking professionally in New York restaurants, studying pasta-making in Tuscany, learning authentic techniques in Thai street markets, training in French pastry kitchens, and cooking alongside home cooks in Morocco, Mexico, and beyond.
Every kitchen taught me something valuable. Every culture showed me new ways to approach flavor. Every mistake became a lesson that made me a better cook.
Why I Started Boldy Recipes?
After years in professional kitchens and teaching cooking classes, I noticed too many people were intimidated by cooking. They thought they needed culinary school training, expensive equipment, or exotic ingredients to make delicious food.
That’s simply not true.
I created Boldy Recipes to prove that anyone can cook bold, flavorful food with approachable techniques and honest guidance. The name “boldy” represents my philosophy: be bold enough to try, bold enough to fail, and bold enough to trust yourself in the kitchen.
